Assistant Venue Coordinator

Venue 1906 is seeking an energetic, creative individual who has a passion for people and parties to help our couples create and pull off their dream weddings. The right person for this job will be a quick thinker with strong problem solving skills, an eye for detail, and an endless amount of energy to carry them through long days.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Venue Coordinator will work closely with the Venue Coordinator; the assistant venue coordinator will be expected to take on the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with the set up, flip, tear down and clean up of events

  • Be on site throughout the event to address any venue related issues that may arise

  • Support bartenders throughout the evening to ensure bar remains fully stocked

  • Manage venue’s rental inventory throughout the event; clean inventory following the event

  • Light cleaning as needed

  • Perform other duties as necessary for a successful event

As Venue 1906 is a new and developing business, the assistant venue coordinator has some ability to customize their role, as fits their interests and expertise.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in event management or related qualification preferred, but not required

  • 1-3 years experience in wedding planning or event management preferred, but not required

  • Smart Serve certification

  • Valid drivers license

  • Strong customer service, time management, and problem solving skills

  • Must enjoy a good party!

Hours: 10-20 hours per week during event weeks

Salary: $18-20/hour
